  • Truly Moving

At the start it is slightly confusing, but you catch on very quickly to the characters and the plot. You will want to finish this. I read the last half over a school day and almost cried in class. Feeling nothing but gratitude.

to describe just how unbelievably amazing this book is. This genre is not usually one I would pick but this story unlocked something in me that I will truthfully never forget. I feel sad and distraught but also so happy and fulfilled by the love in this story that I don’t know how to process it all just yet so I am still sobbing/smiling 10 minutes after finishing it. I could read this book 100 more times and I will without a doubt (once I feel more emotionally stable😅). AMAZING

I have never read one of Kristin Hannah‘s books, but a friend recommended this to me. It consumed me from the very beginning and I could not put it down. The heartbreak that these characters endured and what the French went through in WWll was so evident throughout this book. I don’t recall ever crying while reading a book but I did in this one. I would recommend this to everyone, and I look forward to reading more of her books. I hope they are as good this one!
